The Tiny Town Orlando Community Garden

Built by Neighbors, Growing for Everyone

There’s something special happening at Tiny Town Orlando — and it’s growing right from the ground up.

We’re excited to introduce the Tiny Town Community Garden, a brand-new six-bed garden space created entirely by residents, for residents. Just like our beloved Community Library Book Box, this project didn’t come from outside — it came from within. From hauling soil and cutting boards to planting the first roots, this garden is a true reflection of what happens when neighbors come together with a shared vision.d the shared values that define community living.

What started as a simple idea quickly turned into a hands-on collaboration. Residents rolled up their sleeves, worked side by side, and transformed an open patch of land into a functional, beautiful space designed for connection, sustainability, and growth.

A Resident-Led Garden Initiative

This isn’t just a garden — it’s a living example of the Tiny Town lifestyle.

Across the build process, neighbors pitched in at every stage. Trees were cleared, soil was turned, materials were cut and assembled, and six raised garden beds took shape one by one. Whether lending tools, sharing knowledge, or simply showing up to help, every contribution played a role in bringing the space to life.

The result is a thoughtfully designed garden area that blends naturally into our lakeside setting while creating a dedicated place for residents to gather, grow, and share.

Why We’re Growing Together

The Tiny Town Community Garden is more than a place to plant vegetables — it’s a space that nurtures both wellness and community.

Foster Connection

Gardening creates natural moments for conversation. Whether watering plants or tending a bed, it’s an easy and meaningful way to connect with neighbors and build relationships that go beyond everyday routines.

Promote Wellness

Share the Bounty

These six beds are for everyone. Whether you’re growing herbs, vegetables, or experimenting with new plants, the harvest becomes something shared — strengthening the sense of community that defines Tiny Town.

Live Sustainably

Growing food locally reduces reliance on store-bought produce and aligns with the values of tiny living — simplicity, sustainability, and intentional living.

Tiny Town Orlando Residents Gardening

From Dirt to Destination

Watching the transformation unfold has been one of the most rewarding parts of this project. What began as bare soil and scattered materials has quickly evolved into a structured, thriving garden space — and it’s only just getting started.

Situated on Lake Fairview, a protected bird sanctuary, the garden offers a peaceful place to pause and enjoy nature.

The vision is clear: a vibrant, productive garden filled with fresh greens, vegetables, and herbs, similar to the fully grown example we’re working toward. With time, care, and continued participation, these beds will become a staple of daily life at Tiny Town Orlando. A reminder that meaningful community spaces don’t have to be large — they simply need heart. Take a look at our recently built Tiny Town Orlando Library.
